Software Development Intern

The DXY team is looking for a software developer intern for the Summer term (May through August 2010).

The internship is a great opportunity for a student or recent graduate in Computer Sciences to learn about developing mobile applications for iPhone, Blackberry, Android and Windows Mobile. You will have the chance to learn from our senior developers and get your hands "dirty" on multiple real-world projects. There are multiple areas where you will be exposed. Some of these are:

Project planning and organization

Database development

Base coding

User interface design

Testing and deployment

The successful intern candidate should have experience in the following areas:

Java experience

Objective-C knowledge

MySQL and MS-SQL familiarity

HTML, CSS and general Web development experience

Ability to formulate good algorithms

Outside experience (e.g. math, music, engineering, etc.) is a plus

This position is unique. Unlike other internships where you may end up doing basic QA, code fragments or errand-running, you'll have a chance to participate in a production environment. Our curriculum will help you move from the theory behind mobile to actually building your own project.

 

This position is based in Cleveland, by Cleveland State. We are only two blocks from the Euclid Healthline rapid.
