In partnership with the Cleveland Clinic, DXY built an iPad application to more accurately assess potential concussive injuries.
Using various sensor data from the device—gyroscope, accelerometer, etc.—combined with proprietary algorithms to interpret the data, the app replaces what was once a subjective process. The result is a system that provides far more precise measurements of concussive injuries than what human observation alone can achieve.
The Center for Public History + Digital Humanities at Cleveland State University has a mission: to transform how history is taught, learned and experienced. In partnership with Epstein Design Partners, DXY created the app "Curatescape" for iOS and Android to let users explore the history of their city.
The Curatescape platform is now being used in places such as New Orleans, Baltimore, Spokane, Washington and throughout the State of Kentucky. Nine new cities will be added in 2013.
For their 90th anniversary, Hinkley Lighting commissioned DXY to develop an iPad application for their external sales team.
The app allows for sales people to explore Hinkley’s extensive catalog of interior, exterior and decorative lighting fixtures with customers, designers and consumers. The app provides an easy way to generate quotes, sales presentations and write orders.
DXY and Hitchcock Fleming & Associates, Inc. teamed up to create a branded, Android-based tablet for the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company that enhances the in-store tire buying experience.
The app uses a “fuzzy logic” algorithm to search through the product catalog and match specific tires to consumer needs. Dealer sales associates drive the app, walking consumers through a series of qualifying criteria that quickly identify the best tire options for their vehicles. The app is also equipped with product videos, tire specs and a fuel savings calculator to further aid and empower consumers through the tire-shopping process.
